Heyri Art Village

Heyri Art Village is located at Tanhyeon-myeon, Tongil Dongsan, Special Tourist Zone, and it is a community village where creators and artists of various fields. This community village has a special comprehensive concept that combines culture and arts production, exhibition, sales, and residence. The village offers galleries, museums, cafes, restaurants, and creative artist spaces.

Heyri Museum of Modern History of Korea

Museum of Modern History of Korea is a theme museum founded in 2015 as the first museum of modern history of Korea with over 70,000 antiques and bibliographical materials (politics, economy, culture, life, education, sports, entertainment, etc.,). The museum is famous for its diverse photo zones

Heyri Han Hyang Lim Onggi Museum

Han Hyang Lim Onggi Museum opened on March 24, 2004 and officially registered as the first-class museum (Gyeonggi-do Registration No.09-BAK-08/Career Certification Authority) on December 21, 2009. The museum collects and exhibits various onggi (earthenware vessels), including potteries, dark-blue colored potteries, and ceramic items, made and used from the late Joseon Dynasty to the 1950s. The museum preserves onggi culture, which is gradually declining due to the advent of plastics and stainless and changes in residential space. The museum also shed new light on the onggi’s value of healing to recover the sensibility of modern people who seek well-being and slow life.

Heyri Pottery Making

Enjoy Heyri’s various pottery making programs, including a ceramic pigment painting with mug and plate and a coiling program for making own creative pottery with white porcelain clay.

DMZ Imjingak

Imjingak is a place that remembers the sorrow of the Korean War that occurred on June 25, 1950, and North-South conflict. There are several war monuments, such as Imjingak Monument and Monument Dedicated to United States Forces In The Korean War. A train that once ran all the way to Sinuiju, at the northern end of the Korean Peninsula, before the North-South division, is displayed at Imjingak.

Imjingak Gondola

Imjingak Gondola is the first gondola to connect Civilian Control Line. You can enjoy a 850-meter-long ride to the top, and there are a total of 26 cable cars with a capacity of 10 people, including 17 general and 9 crystal cable cars. As you start from Imjingak’s bottom stop, cross the Imjingang River, and get off at the upper stop, you will find Observation Deck 1 and Deck 2. You can also see Jangdan Peninsula, Mt.Bukhan, Bridge of Freedom, Dokgae Bridge, and Imjingak Pavilion. At the Observation Deck 2, you can also see Foot Bridge, Peace Pavilion, and Imjingang Peace Lighthouse.

“Forest of Wisdom” is located on the first floor of Asia Publication Culture & Information Center, and it is a museum open to all people by collecting, preserving, protecting, managing, and sharing valuable books. Paju Yui I Historic Site, Jaunseowon Confucian Academy is a place that enshrines the ancestral tablets of Yulgok Yi I and commemorates the great studies and virtues of Yulgok Yi I. It also has Yulgok Memorial Hall that exhibits artifacts related to Yulgok Yi I and Shin Saimdang and 11 family tombs

Imjingang Hwangpo Sailboat

Imjingang Hwangpo Sailboat starts from Duji-ri Quay, passes Jajang-ri stone walls, sails down 3 kilometers, turns the boat at Gorangpo Yeoulmok, where water level gets as low as ankles, and returns to Duji-ri. You can view 8 scenic wonders of Imjingang River.
